Steps to Acquire Your OAL

  1. Contact your District Commissioner and / or District Camp Advisor or District Rep for your paperwork.
(If you don’t have a District Camp Advisor or District Rep you can contact your Area or Deputy Area Camp Advisor).

  2. Meet with your Camp Advisor who will help find you a mentor.

  3. You will work with your mentor through the process for acquiring your OAL. These steps will help ensure you have the camp experience and training needed for the level of OAL you wish to receive.

  4. When you and your mentor feel you have completed all the requirements for the OAL, complete the paperwork, be sure to have all necessary signatures, and forward to the Area or Deputy Area Camp Advisors.

NOTE: “TO COMPLETE YOUR OAL YOU MUST HAVE A MENTOR”

PLEASE NOTE: You must now REMOVE section 13 of the Policy, Organization and Rules, and use the new Safe Guide instead.
